Updated Announcement from Richmond County Clerk of Court

TO: Members of the Augusta Bar Association
FROM: Hattie Holmes Sullivan
SUBJECT: Updated Office Closure Due to Covid-19

As mentioned in my previous memo, our office has two positive Covid-19 cases. Therefore, I have temporarily restricted physical access to the office. I have engaged professionals to disinfect the office, and will have limited staff access in the near term. Additionally, our staff is actively being tested, which will provide helpful guidance as to how we can safely return.

Civil, UCC and, Real Estate e-filings are available by going to https://www.augustaga.gov/2354/efFiling. All filings will continue to be processed via telework and/or by limited staff in the office. Clerks will continue to attend court sessions via WebEx and Zoom.

Additionally, our staff will continue  to process emergency orders from the courts, and filings from the District Attorney. If any party feels they have an issue that cannot be addressed by e-filing, please contact the office by using the information shown below.

We will attempt to make arrangements to respond to your needs. We plan to reopen and return to full capacity on June 1, 2020.
